The Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation is a service which provides financial assistance to people in need and temporarily supports individuals and families during unexpected crises, such as illness or death of a family member.
Immediate response to crisis situations is also given in order to ease the burden of those affected. This service can be availed by walk-in and referral clients based on the assessment of social welfares. Documents must be submitted to the office for verification and approval of assistance.
Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps)
The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) is one of the national government’s initiative that provides cash grants based on certain conditions to the extremely poor households of the country in order to improve their education, health, and nutrition. This program has two goals, the social assistance to provide cash to the poor as a short-term solution to their needs, while working to end the poverty cycle that is passed down through generations by investing in human capitals – like health, nutrition, and education concur long-term success.
Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP)
The Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) is a community-based capacity building program that helps participants improve their socio-economic status. As part of the Convergence Strategy, the program aims to serve beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilya, hoping to sustain and expand the socio-economic benefits gained beyond the five-year intervention period.
The target participants for this program should come from low-income households as identified by the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHT-SPR).
Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth (RRCY)
The Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth (RRCY) is a DSWD-run facility that provides comprehensive rehabilitation services to male children below 18 years of age who are in conflict with the law.
The RRCY provides residential care and treatment services that aim to reform and rehabilitate child offenders so that they may eventually reintegrate back into society as productive and law-abiding citizens.
Haven for Women and Children
The Haven for Women and Children is a 24-hour shelter that provides temporary refuge and assistance to women and children who are victims of domestic violence, rape, human trafficking, and other forms of abuse. Also, those who are in conflict with the law and in need of protection are given shelter here. This facility serves as a protection and recovery center that will help them start anew. It is located in PAC Compound, Magalang, Pampanga.
Home for Girls (Tarlac and Nueva Ecija)
Home for Girls in Tarlac and Nueva Ecija are facilities that provide temporary home and rehabilitation for girls below 18 years old who are victims of abuse, abandonment, and neglect. The bed capacities for Tarlac and Nueva Ecija are 35 and 90 respectively. The Tarlac facility is located in Provincial Capitol Compound, Tarlac City while the Nueva Ecija facility is in Singgalat, Palayan City.
AMOR Village
The Accelerating Minor’s Opportunity for Recovery (AMOR) VIllage is a home for children with special needs who were neglected, abused, and abandoned by their families. It is a world-class facility that provides different services for recovery rehabilitation and development to help children eventually integrate into the community.
